When History Repeats, Do We Notice?
Robin | August 25, 2008We said: “Well, the Germans lost, the war is done.
With Europe destroyed, now we’re number one.
Now, things will be different, ’cause we’re the US of A.
We will never suffer from the same moral decay.”
But all it took was our fear and a false solution
to destroy Iraq, Vietnam, and our sacred constitution.
Hate leads to terrorism, so violence will never defeat it.
Learn some history and ask, “Did we repeat it?”
If you haven’t noticed, the bullshit has gotten rather deep,
so turn off the propaganda and stop acting like sheep.
You ask, “but is our apathy really doing that much harm?”
“No, thousands murdered is no reason for alarm…”

Robin, I love how you’re so outspoken about things you feel strongly about. If not you, who would? There has to be someone that takes the truth and rubs it in everybody’s face. and that’s a very good poem, which is saying something since usually I hate poetry haha.

This is a good poem. I’m not good at rhyming poetry, but this is very good. So true too…although as unfortunate as it is..

Project Humanbeingsfirst.org | October 9, 2008 | 12:57 pmHello – thank you for posting the movie – while I am watching it I scrolled down and saw your above eloquent missive. This line particularly caught my eye: “so turn off the propaganda and stop acting like sheep”. Voluntary Servitude is harder to overcome than that. FYI – in case you are interested, please see this essay: “Happy-Happy in Hope and Voluntary Servitude” at:
